Transfer Student Out of School, and to another PRPS School
This guide walks you through the process of transferring a student out of a school and then enrolling them into another school within the PRSD system. Follow these steps to ensure accurate student record management.
1. Navigate to https://prsd8.ca/admin/home.html
2. Select the student you wish to transfer out of your school
3. Click "School Enrollment"
4. Click "Transfer Out Of School"
5. Enter a description if you have one (not mandatory)
6. Enter the Date of Transfer (Exit Date). This should be the day after the last day the student was in class.
7. Select the Exit Code. Choose the one that makes the most sense. If the student will be moving to another PRPS school, choose "Transfer within PRSD (21100)" option.
8. Exit Date Type should be Withdrawn Date
9. "Is the student continuing their education in the Province of Alberta" - this is almost always "Yes", however if the family has indicated that they are moving out of Province, you can choose "No"
10. Click "Submit"
11. Click "Confirm Submit"
12. If the student is LEAVING PRPS, then you are finished, and can go back to the Start Page.
If the student is moving to another PRPS school, continue to the next step.
13. Click "Back"
14. Click "School Enrollment"
15. Click "Transfer To Another School"
16. Click this dropdown and choose the school the student is moving to.
17. Click "Submit"
18. You're done! Let the receiving school know you have completed the transfer.
19. "What if I transferred out a student that's moving to another PRPS school, but I stopped at step 11?"
If the student is attending another PRPS school and you've already transferred the student out of your school, but didn't do the rest of the steps: You can just use the "/" in your search to locate the student, and then pick up at Step 13 to finish the trasnfer.
