Email to Print is for guests or users printing from non-district devices (personal phones, laptops). Staff can use it for quick prints from a phone. Schools may give the address to presenters or student teachers who bring their own devices.

How to use

  1. Compose a new email to PrintMe@prrd8.ca and attach the documents or images to print. You may attach multiple files and different file types; each attachment becomes a separate print job.
  2. After sending, you will receive a confirmation email indicating the job is ready for release.
  3. At a copier, sign in using your ID number to view available jobs.
  4. Select the jobs you want and press Print.

If you emailed from a non-prrd8.ca address (for example, a personal email), the confirmation email will include a temporary ID to sign in at the copier.

Notes

  • Supported file types: images, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • The body of the email itself is not printed — only attachments are printed.
  • Image signatures may be detected as separate print jobs; you can delete them at the copier instead of printing.
  • Jobs remain in the Email to Print queue for up to 2 hours; unprinted jobs are automatically removed afterward.
  • Guests may see other jobs if several were sent around the same time; identify your job by the sender email shown at the end of the job name. Staff will only see their own print jobs.
